Through My Eyes

“He throws a hail mary to the end zone! Oh, incomplete.”  A quote from Through My Eyes, an autobiography by Tim Tebow.  This heart-warming, inspirational book will catch your eye from the beginning and carry you all the way to the end.

Through My Eyes is about Tim Tebow’s life, all the way from life on the farm to his walk with Jesus Christ.  “I simply pray that I will continue to have the humbling privilege to touch others and lift them up through His Word-all for His glory,”  Tim Tebow.  This was his mindset in everything. Football.  Farming.  Everything he did he’d do it to the fullest; whether it ended up good or bad he would give the glory to the Lord.  To be a successful athlete, he thought, this was the kind of attitude you would have to have.

My favorite part in this book is in the year 2005 when Tim Tebow is choosing, again turning to the Lord, which college to attend.  This was one of the hardest decisions throughout the whole book that Tim had to make.  It’s my favorite because it shows him turning to the Lord and him making decisions he thinks the Lord turned him to.  When he took the podium to announce to the world which college he would be attending  This is what happened,”…I will be attending …..”  He froze, left it blank, and looked away!  This is one of the best parts of the book, I think.
I would absolutely recommend this book to someone who loves sports, a good adventure, and has, or wants, a good, strong Christian faith.  I would give this a ten on a scale from one to ten, ten being the best, simply because it is a great book for young athletes like me.
